Meet the Family
We are a married couple with a beautiful daughter who is growing up surrounded by the magic of nature and the daily rhythm of farm life. Together, we’ve created a small but thriving homestead with a diverse mix of animals, including 80 lively chickens, two adorable mini donkeys, one majestic horse, four playful dogs, and four curious rabbits.
Each day at Dogwood Farm presents new opportunities that we embrace with open arms, working together to build a sustainable and resilient life. Our farm is a reflection of our commitment to living simply, with purpose, and with deep respect for our land and the woods that surround us.
Our Mission
At Dogwood Farm, we believe in the power of hard work, self-reliance, and living in harmony with nature and in community with neighbors. We’re building a resilient life where we rely on our own hands, resources, and knowledge to provide for ourselves, our family, our neighbors, and friends. From processing our own firewood, to caring for the land and our farm animals, we are constantly learning and growing. We aim to share our journey that moves away from modern conveniences with others who are interested in homesteading, self-sufficiency, and a non-toxic lifestyle.
We believe that by building resilience, working hard, and fostering a deep connection with nature, we can create a stronger, more sustainable future for our family and our community. We take pride in teaching our daughter the values of self-reliance, respect for animals, and the satisfaction that comes from working hard to meet our mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
